Democracy Reporting International (DRI) is a non-partisan, independent, not-for-profit organisation registered in Berlin. DRI promotes political participation of citizens, accountability of state bodies and the development of democratic institutions world-wide.  
 
DRI is currently recruiting a part-time IT student assistant (f/m/d) for its head office in Berlin. In collaboration with the Digital Expert, and under supervision of the Director of Finance, HR and Administration you will support the IT department with a focus on SharePoint Online administration and First Level IT Support. 
Your tasks
  • Providing IT support to employees with software, hardware, printer etc.; 
  • IT Onboarding & Offboarding following a structured procedure; 
  • Maintain accurate IT Asset inventory of hardware and software;  
  • Maintaining project filing structure, databases and other resources;  
  • Prepare relevant documentation for IT and training materials;  
  • Support change management when rolling out improvement items (Power Automate and Power Apps) and track user experience after rolling out the improvement; 
  • Conduct research on relevant topics for IT and procurement; 
  • Support and participate in all aspects of IT project management;  
  • Other relevant duties, as required;  
Your skills and experience
  • Academic background or completed apprenticeship in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or other relevant/related fields;  
  • Excellent IT skills and proficiency in main computer applications; 
  • Work experience in an office setting, ideally for an NGO;  
  • Strong affinity to digitalisation; 
  • Empathy, sensitivity and discretion; 
  • Good communication and negotiation skills; 
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team;  
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, knowledge of German is an asset;  
  • Student status; you must be enrolled in university throughout the whole duration of the employment;  
  • Working permit for Germany (if you are a foreign student).  
PREFERRED 
   -  Initial experience with SharePoint Online, Power Automate and Power Apps
